KIDS LATIN DANCE CLASSES: 4 TO 15 YEARS OLD

One of our favourite classes, we offer the perfect introduction to Latin dance for children aging from 4 to 15 years old. The program is run as an 12-week course for each age group, featuring classes for 3 different age groups.
The emphasis of the curriculum is to get children familiar with basic movement concepts and steps related to Latin dances, always working on concepts while having FUN! At the end of each course students will be taught a small choreography to showcase their newly acquired skills.

Dance improves coordination, fitness, rhythm, self-esteem and well-being

In order to be able to achieve continuity and tangible progress the program offers only the option of signing-up for a full course. Please note that drop-ins will not be allowed and the program requires a minimum number of initial registrations to proceed. Spots are limited so early registration is encouraged.

BENEFITS OF DANCE FOR CHILDREN

Dance is an excellent way for your child to stay fit, attain coordination, musical and spatial awareness, discipline, concentration, and confidence. Latin dance in particular helps increase your child's self esteem, team work and social circle.
Another great news is that most of the classes will be paid by the government! The Canadian Children's Fitness Tax Credit is a non-refundable tax credit that enables parents to claim up to $500 in fees for enrolling their child under the age of 16 in a program of physical activity. For programs to be eligible for this deduction, they must:
  • Be continuous by lasting at least 8 weeks with at least 1 session per week
  • Be supervised
  • Include a significant amount of physical activity contributing to cardio-respiratory endurance and at least one of the muscular strength, flexibility or balance
  • Provide a receipt at time of filing
